This week's GBE2 prompt is Work

At my job we purchased this handy in an out board. We have a lot of tutors working for us and the board helped us to know who was in the office when students asked.
I purchased colorful magnets and we used the board all semester.
I noticed this last week

All the pink buttons have been pilfered.

I suspect a college student. I don't think it was one of my employees. More than likely, it was a student visiting the office. The theft occurred between the last week of the semester and the week after that.
I bet the person responsible has a Hello Kitty themed dorm room.

I expect a certain level of pilfering from university students. It is for that reason that all of my pens have silk flowers taped to them and all of my office supplies are labeled.
Or I could purchase some of these

I used to have name badges for my student employees. That is, until I realized that despite being able to maintain a smartphone, college id which doubles as a library and ATM card, and a mp3 player with monsterbeats headphones, these students could not keep up with a name badge for work.

I had to start ordering badges every semester (without names) for students when I learned that my graduating student workers were taking them home as souvenirs.

I love my job. I really do. I love working with college students. But,I am still baffled by the magnets. I bought them from Wal-sucks because of the color choices. What do I do now?

Taking magnets from an in and out board is just wrong.
I want them returned.
But not if they were in an HK themed dorm room. ...

This did make me laugh! As to those pens, I might just buy a pack to leave around the house to make me laugh at unexpected moments :D

I enjoyed the laughter this brought my way, even before a fresh cup of coffee. Hello! ... kitty ;-)

I...know "someone" who would steal those pens in a heart beat. Not me. A friend. Yeah. Where do you work again?

This blog made me feel guilty of all the pen thefts I have ever perpetrated in my life. With my head bowed, I start my long journey of righting my pen theft wrongs...Thank you Robin! lol

Ah the pilfering of office supplies, we Pirates love this, but it should not happen to a nice person like you. I look forward to reading more of your blog.

Hi, my name is Beth and I steal pens. I never do it consciously because I'm actually kind of picky about pens and those at businesses are almost always crappy, but I sign something, get all gabby with the person across the counter/desk, and then walk away without setting the stupid pen down.

Hi Beth....sorry, got caught up in the meeting moment.

Anyway, I just want you to know that IF I had been anywhere near pink magnets...they would be in my office right now. I would have asked you, I would have offered to buy them, but one way or another, I would have left with them!

Just sayin'....Hello Kitty Fan

Oo, I would have loved the pink pins! And the unique pens...As for the name badges? Well that's just laziness in not returning them, lol...I know, as I would have done the same ;o) Funny post! Made me smile :o) Visiting from GBE 2 :o)

Pen stealing is a problem. Also, I hate pen cap stealers. I will not use a pen with a missing cap. I had to ask the Assistant director to order clickable pens (no caps)
To all you HK fans, wow. I knew it was your kind that was behind the magnet thievery.
I hope all of you enjoy my blogs this year. There are always shenanigans to report.

So really it is work in progress to get these(pink)magnets back?

@kiwi I am really curious. I can't shake it. I do want to know where they went.

hi frizzy... yep, you got me by your blog title... i thought this was a sex blog. LOL

i have round push pins for my mini boards in the classroom... the 3rd graders seem to think they are kinda neat. i lose one or two a year - it would be more, i'm sure, but i make such a big deal, and at their age someone is bound to rat a peer out, so i don't lose them like you would. darn college students!

thanks for reading my post about working out at the gym, and commenting. i hope you will continue to stop by...

you have a new follower... that'd be me!

My daughter wants to work with college students. I bet she hasn't thought of this. What college are you at?
